Governments around the world are increasingly setting targets for the full transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) to meet their transport decarbonization goals as well as realize benefits for air quality and their economies. Although the ZEV market has grown exponentially through 2021, reaching these targets will require sustained policy across several areas. In this 1-hour event hosted by Canada at COP 26 in Glasgow, Scotland, governments from the International Zero-Emission Vehicle Alliance will discuss how their jurisdictions are approaching the full transition to ZEVs and what supporting policies will be needed to ensure that the transition is successful. The event will also highlight the role of for intergovernmental collaboration and peer learning from the ZEV Alliance, and share updates on the Alliance’s growth since its launch at COP 21 in Paris.
