2019 ZEV Alliance Annual Assembly

On April 16-17, 2019, the ZEV Alliance met in New York City for its fourth annual in-person Assembly, following those in Amsterdam in 2017, Montreal in 2016, and London in 2018. The ZEV Alliance member governments discussed progress, challenges, market trends, and emerging policy developments in the implementation of their respective ZEV action plans. The group welcomed new members from Baden-Württemberg, New Jersey, and Washington State to their first Assembly. The members discussed their priorities, ongoing activities, recruitment of new members, and plans to continue the implementation of the ZEV Alliance’s commitments in 2019 and 2020. The collaborative meetings included a China-US-Netherlands ZEV Policy Lab workshop and an exchange with the auto industry on topics of expanding ZEV access beyond early adopters, the implications of ZEV “cost parity” and ZEV infrastructure.
