Zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) have great potential to improve public health, air quality, energy independence, and sustainability; however, challenges do exist with respect to affordability of ZEVs and equitable access to fueling and charging infrastructure. In a project for the International ZEV Alliance, ICF along with its partners Forth and Cenex have recently completed a research study to highlight the existing disparity in ZEV ownership, quantify the environmental justice benefits of ZEVs, and provide policy and program recommendations that various government agencies can implement to enhance the environmental justice outcomes of their ZEV policies.

This webinar on February 8, 2023 highlighted the findings of this research and brought together experts from ZEV Alliance governments, environmental justice advocacy, and research institutions to reflect on the potential of ZEVs and what governments can to do ensure an equitable transition.
