The 9th Annual Assembly took place in Vancouver, British Columbia on September 4–5, 2024 and was hosted by the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Low Carbon Innovation (EMLI) and Transport Canada. The Annual Assembly provided a key opportunity for attendees to learn about the global ZEV transition and recent successes while strengthening relationships across jurisdictions. The meeting included educational sessions on ZEV market developments and policies globally, and within member governments, as well as strategic organizational decisions. The Annual Assembly was designed to maximize open exchange, knowledge sharing, and peer learning.
Attendees participated in field trips to Harbour Air to watch a flight demonstration of an electric float plane, Vancouver International Airport to learn about how it’s reducing its emissions on ground vehicles, and the Port of Vancouver, where they took a boat ride around the port to discover how they’re reducing emissions through zero-emission trucks, ground equipment, and gantry cranes.
